Who we are

The HNU ICPC Community is the competitive programming community at Helwan National University, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT). We are a group of passionate students dedicated to mastering algorithmic problem-solving and representing our university in national and international programming competitions.

Our mission

  • 🎯 Train students in competitive programming and algorithmic thinking
  • 🏆 Compete in ECPC, ACPC, ICPC, and other programming competitions
  • 🤝 Build a community of problem solvers who support each other
  • 📚 Create resources (tutorials, sheets, editorials) for the wider CP community

What we do

Weekly training sessions

Regular workshops covering CP topics — from basic algorithms to advanced techniques.

Problem solving sessions

Guided problem-solving sessions where we work through problems together.

Community contests

Weekly and monthly contests to keep our skills sharp.

ICPC preparation

Intensive training camps and mock contests before ICPC season.

Our values

  1. Learn by doing — We believe the best way to learn is to solve problems
  2. Help each other — No question is too basic, and everyone was a beginner once
  3. Consistency over intensity — Regular practice beats occasional cramming
  4. Academic integrity — We solve our own problems and learn genuinely
